Sister Anne Marie Lom is responding to such a need by offering a Zoom event on “Called to Pray the Liturgy of the Hours’ on February 26\, 2022 with talks at 10 AM\, 2 PM and 4 PM. What can you expect from this kind of event? Here are some questions that will be answered. \n\nHow did this prayer of the universal Church come to be?\nWhat are the similarities and differences in the various Hours: Lauds and Vespers? How are the Hours structured?\nWhat is the difference between a Psalm and a Canticle in the Liturgy of Hours?\nHow can I pray the Liturgy of Hours with better attention and personal application?\nTime for your questions and observations.\n\nSister Anne Marie Lom OSF holds a Masters Degree in Applied Spirituality from the University of San Francisco and served an internship in Franciscan Spiritual Direction for three months in Ontario\, Canada. DESCRIPTION:Queen’s Parish will once again be hosting a Community-Wide Christmas Dinner on December 25th. The last time Queen’s was able to host a dinner was on December 25\, 2019. We have missed serving our community through two Easters and one Christmas. Queens is the host of this event\, however\, many other organizations in and around Jackson aid in providing a holiday meal to those who have no one else to celebrate with\, or possibly the ability to provide a full course meal to their family. All are welcome at this free meal. This will be the 23rd time Queen’s has hosted the Christmas Dinner. \nI hope you will consider helping us publicize this event. I have attached two flyers for your convenience. Almost all of the area churches and organizations have information to distribute\, however\, we want to make sure that all those that should be reached are aware of this offering. \nOf course\, like everyone else\, we are watching closely the Covid numbers.
