God in His providence offers us the season of Lent each year as a chance to return to Him with all our hearts and in every aspect of our lives.

24 Hours for the Lord is coming to the Jackson Region Friday March 9th and Saturday March 10th at St. Joseph Oratory, 205 N. Waterloo.
Begun by Pope Francis during the Year of Mercy 2015, this is a regional
opportunity to combine Eucharistic Adoration with the Sacrament of
Reconciliation. We are especially hoping to reach out to the fallen away and those who have left the practice of the faith, but indeed all are
welcome and encouraged to participate. This is an event sponsored by all our parishes for all of our people.
There will be a kick off Mass at 7pm on Friday the 9th and a special holy hour at 6:00pm on Saturday evening the 11th. See the ad in this bulletin with the full schedule of events. There will be a priest available for confession for 24 hours straight. If it has been a long time since your last confession or you’ve had a bad experience in the past, come experience the love of mercy of God in the sacrament. Mark your calendars
and spread the word that 24 Hours for the Lord is on its way! Even if you don’t make a confession, just come and pray. The theme for this year’s initiative is, “With you God, is forgiveness” (Psalm 130:4). Invite
family and friends to Grow+GO with us during this special time. Whether you stay for five minutes or two hours, come and pray during the 24 Hours for the Lord, Jackson Regional Lenten Mission of Mercy.
Plan ahead. If you don’t make it to confession during 24 Hour for the Lord, there are plenty of other opportunities. Here is the full listing
for Communal Penance Services for Lent in the Jackson Region. Please note these services do not include general absolution. It is a Communal celebration of God’s mercy while preserving individual confession with the priest:
