Frank Pomarico

Frank Pomarico is from Howard Beach, New York. He attended Notre Dame University from 1970-1974 and played football under legendary coach Ara Parseghian. Frank started at left guard in 1971 and became tri-captain of the 1973 Notre Dame National Championship team, which defeated Alabama in the Sugar Bowl (24-23). He later played professionally in the Canadian Football League.

Frank is the author of “Ara’s Knights: Ara Parshegian and the Golden Era of Notre Dame Football.”

Frank currently lives in Jackson, Michigan, where he coaches tight ends and tackles at Lumen Christi Catholic School. Frank also does a radio show with former UNLV football coach Harvey Hyde in Las Vegas and still loves talking about Notre Dame football.

The Sports Round Table Talk Show reflects Frank’s interest in competitive sports and his belief that participation in athletic programs helps develop positive values, good character, and a strong Catholic faith in today’s young people.

Larry McNeal

Larry McNeal has been a contributor to Good Shepherd Catholic Radio since its inception. Larry is one of the original broadcasters of the Jackson Today program and has conducted interviews with many local and national figures. Larry has an extensive professional broadcasting background, having served at a number of radio and television stations in Michigan for many years. Currently, Larry is working with Bishop Earl Boyea to provide the Lansing Diocese segments of the Jackson Today program.

Kathy Schmaltz

Kathy is a graduate of Michigan State University and has been a Jackson/Lansing area resident since the mid 1970s. She was a TV News Anchor and writer at WILX TV in Lansing, where she served as Associate News Director of Community Relations. She hosted the political issues program “In Focus”, broadcast on Jackson, Lansing, Grand Rapids, Ann Arbor, and Detroit cable stations. She is also experienced in radio, serving at WITL, WKAR, and the Michigan State Radio Network.
